
It was a gradual thing. A creeping feeling of impending doom. More and more advertising showed less and less purpose. No joy, no desire. Dreary noise in the service of no one.
Slowly, a cliché started to wedge itself into our minds: There has to be a better way.
Maybe it’s ludicrous to believe that a small independent agency in Sweden can lead the way to greener pastures. Then call us Luda. We believe.
And so, we named ourselves Kontiki. Just like the wild-eyed Norwegian that took on the Pacific sea in a simple raft only to show that it could be done, we’re in this to prove something.

If you want to be successful in the long run you have to think long. Re-positioning, trend analysis, consumer insight – they’re all pretty words that define parts of our strategy offer. But what we really do is to figure out what you need to do, and who you need to be, to reach the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

To be fair, strategy is also creative work, but there’s one fine line. Strategy is useful on paper, creative is not. Creative work needs to be put out into the world, in whatever shape or form, and make people too interested to look away. No matter if you need a big concept, a tiny billboard, social media storytelling or an armada of hot air balloons – we make people too interested.

Agencies tend to be labeled as dreamers. While we appreciate such backhanded compliments, we do live in the real world. We know that advertising is more than slides with ideas, it’s work.
